NJ law states that a new health insurer has to cover pre-existing conditions if that individual had 18 months of continuous coverage prior to the new coverage. If someone had over 18 months in coverage, then one month of coverage with another insurer, then wants to switch to a different insurer, will the pre-existing coverage claus that requires an insurer to cover pre-existing conditions be in effect with the third insurer? Does the 18 month rule only apply to the health insurer that immediately precedes the current health insurer or does it simply apply to 18 month of continuous health insurance even if the individual had two different health insurers?

New Captive Insurance Legislation Proposed for Vermont — Bill to Allow Incorporated Protected Cells

The proposed bill expands Vermont’s captive laws, to include allowing cells within a sponsored cell captive to be formed as incorporated protected cells. Vermont currently allows protected cells created by contract alone. “This presents another option for a cell owner in addition to cells created by contract alone,” said David Provost, Deputy Commissioner of Vermont’s Captive Insurance Division. “We’ve heard from the captive industry that they wanted the option of having incorporated cells. This legislation does just that, without limiting any rights or protections afforded by cells created by contract.”

My wife and I both work full time with different employers that offer health insurance to us. My employer offers a HSA (Health Savings Account) style plan with a high deductible. My wife’s employer offers a POS (Point of Service) plan with a co-pay style of insurance.

Assuming we pay the insurance premiums for both plans can I be covered under both my wife’s POS plan and my own HSA plan? And can our kids be covered by both plans?

Yeah, if you have a pre-existing condition and you’re lucky to fnd a full-time job with benefits so that you can get affordable health insurance for ongoing treatment of your condition, but what if you want to quit so that you can work freelance, part-time, start a small business, doesn’t this system limit that side of capitalism and limit job mobility, something that is against economic freedom?

I only know Unicare and BlueCross offers lower rates, but wanted to see if you guys can find something lower than Unicare and BlueCross.

Can I apply health insurance internationally like Canada or should I wait until Democrat president to setup an special health insurance plan (I forgot what its called)?

It’s all about the same. A family policy is just going to cost around $ 1,000 a month, less with massive deductibles.

my grandmother has to pay $ 50 every doctors visit she goes to and they didnt let her know this until last week, now she owes about $ 450 to her doctor which i think is crazy. elderly people should recieve free doctors visits. please i need any suggestions. thank you.

she already has medicare and medicaid. i need other suggestions.
she cant pay this out of pocket so how can i go about getting her help with this $ 450 debt?
